Red Alert 3, Left 4 Dead, Spiderman 3 etc are all current generation games.. why microsoft can't grab this games as Games For Windows titles? with GFWL enabled.Why some other current PC games are not GFW Title?
You won't see Valve games coming out as GFW any time soon. M$ dictated that any GFW would have to use Live instead of whatever the developer wants. Live is competing with Steam. Steam has its own achievements and chat and all of that.Why some other current PC games are not GFW Title?
I would imagine its all down to money when it comes to the smaller company's, GFW titles have to meet certain requirements have support for this and that, they just wanna get there game released without worrying what Microsoft says. Big company's like Valve probably stick two fingers up to Microsoft and wont be dictated too and who can blame them they knock out excellent bug free games and don't need MS help. GFW titles ain't a bad thing i think, at least you know your getting a game that has full windows support.
