How to run games with Directx 10....?

How to run games with Directx 10 i have ge force 8800 ultra and when i start game with Directx 10 example Stranglehold, Spiderman 3 the game run with directx 9 maybe i must install

directx 10 or...

in order for dirext10 to run you need 3 things



1. directx 10 installed and a directx10 card (you have 8800 that works)

2. you need vista in order to run directx 10

3. the game has to be written for directx 10 (spiderman 3 was not)
What version of windows do you have? Because if you have Windows XP then you need to get DX 10 from another vendor.

You need Vista to run DX10. Contrary to what anyone says they are not running true DX10 in XP but just an emulator thats not the same!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Spiderman 3, and Stranglehold support DirectX 10, so even if you have DirectX10, they will run as DX 9...



Anyways, having a DX 10 graphics card doesn't mean you have DX10.



Are you running Windows Vista?

If so, download DirectX10 here: http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Abo鈥?/a>



If not, then if you ever want DX 10, get Vista.



My advice: Don't get DX10 until you get a game that supports it. Why? Because it's still underdeveloped. My 3DMark 06 score went down by 100 points after installing DX10
